Why can't the subfolder of Address Book be exported?
When the exported WAB file is imported to Outlook Express, it is in the form that all contact addresses are integrated to the root level of Address Book.
To export the subfolder of Address Book,the file of Address Book needs to be manually copied to a destination folder with the steps below:
1. Copy the following files to a given location on the source computer.
- User Name.WAB
- User Name.WA~
Locations of the above files:
For Windows® 2000 & Windows® XP:
- C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
Other Operating Systems:
- C:\windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Address book
2. If the user name of the computer where the files are copied from is different from the destination computer, change the file name in accordance with the user name of the destination computer.
Note: Do not change the extension.
3. Copy the files that are copied in Step 1 to the following folder of the destination computer.
Locations of Copy-To:
For Windows® 2000 & Windows® XP:
- C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
Other Operating Systems:
- C:\windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Address book
4. Restart Windows.
