The screen brightness suddenly changes. (OLED TV)

The screen suddenly gets brighter or darker.

    Check the following:

If Light sensor is set to On, the brightness of the TV screen changes to match the ambient brightness.

How to access Light sensor settings:

    1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Display & SoundPictureLight sensor.
      • Select DisplayPictureLight sensor.

NOTE: Light sensor is located around the center of the bottom part of the TV screen.

If an image is displayed on the TV screen with which screen image retention may easily occur, the function that gradually reduces the screen brightness operates in order to protect the TV from screen image retention. If you change the screen or perform another action that eliminates the risk of image retention occurring, the brightness returns to normal.
If the brightness change is inconvenient, lower the Peak Luminance setting. This will reduce the brightness change.

    1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Display & SoundPictureAdvanced settings Brightness Peak luminance Medium or Low.
      • Select Display Picture Advanced settings Brightness Peak Luminance Medium or Low.

NOTE: With screens such as the HOME screen and the app's top screen that contain many bright still images, this function will especially frequently operate.
