2 Year Warranty Terms and Conditions:

The 2 year warranty provided by Sony India Private Limited (hereafter, “Sony”) shall mean initial 1 year comprehensive warranty i.e. Standard Warranty available with purchase of all new TVs and 1 year additional Limited Warranty on LCD/OLED Panel Module only (hereafter, “Limited Warranty”) subject to the following:

The terms herein shall be read as supplement to and in addition to the stipulations set out in the Standard Warranty supplied with the Product.

  1. This Limited Warranty shall be valid for sales to end customers during the period 6th Sep 2019 through 31st Oct 2019 across all India. This is applicable only for the first purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.
  2. The customer shall be required to present proof of purchase i.e. purchase invoice, in original, and warranty card, in original, for availing services under this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty is subject to verification of the document(s) and/or information provided by the customer and Sony reserves the right to seek such additional document(s) and/or information from the customer as it may deem appropriate.
  3. This Limited Warranty offer is applicable on any SONY TVs purchased from Sony brand shop(s) and authorized partners listed on https://www.sony.co.in/section/retailshops during the period 6th Sep 2019 through 31st Oct 2019. This Limited Warranty offer shall automatically expire upon completion of the aforesaid period. This Limited Warranty will not be applicable if the Product is not purchased from an authorized partner of the Sony in India.
  4. 1st year Standard Warranty shall be applicable from the date of invoice of purchase. The terms of Standard Warranty shall apply in addition to the stipulations set out herein.
  5. The Limited Warranty shall be applicable for one year from the date of expiry of the Standard Warranty in respect of LCD/OLED Panel Module failure only.
    • 5.1. Subject to the Standard Warranty terms, Sony will, at its option, repair or replace the LCD/OLED Panel Module with new or refurbished LCD/OLED Panel Module during the Limited Warranty. Decision of Sony shall be final in this regard. In the event of non-availability of original spares or reasons beyond the control of Sony, Sony may offer, as per its policy, the depreciated value of the Product.
    • 5.2. The Limited Warranty shall not cover any other part(s) other than LCD/OLED Panel Module. Parts such as, but not limited to, Cosmetic/Plastic Part(s), Power Supply, AC Adapter, Main Board, PCB sub-assemblies, Remote Control, Cabinets, Stand, Accessories such as cables (HDMI, AV, DVI, etc.) 3D Glasses & Free Gift(s) shall not be covered under this Limited Warranty. Network (LAN, Internet, Cable Signal) related issue(s) are not covered.
    • 5.3 In case of replacement of LCD/OLED Panel Module, the Limited Warranty in respect of replaced LCD/OLED Panel Module shall continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the Limited Warranty.
    • 5.4. All limitation(s) and exception(s) specified in Standard Warranty shall apply to the Limited Warranty.
  6. Should Sony, in its discretion, decides to replace the Product, it shall endeavor to do so with same model, subject to availability, and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model equivalent as deemed fit by Sony.
  7. The warranty on replacement model shall remain in force only for the unexpired period of the Standard Warranty, if any, and Limited Warranty for LCD/OLED Panel Module.
  8. When a product or part is replaced, the original item(s) replaced shall become the property of Sony.
  9. All set(s) installed beyond the urban/municipal limits of Sony's Authorized Service Centre shall be brought to the nearest Authorized Service Centre by the Customer at his/her own cost and risk. To avail on-site service, all expense(s) related to conveyance, transportation, handling etc. towards deputing of service technician shall be borne by the Customer. Transportation and handling of set(s) shall be at Customer’s risk, the charges of which may vary from location to location. Customer is advised to contact the Authorized Service Center beforehand. The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether the repairs are to be done at site or at the authorized service center.
  10. In case of any damage to the product or any part thereof or customer abuse or repairs by unauthorized personnel or misuse detected by the Authorized Service Centre personnel, the warranty conditions shall not be applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts & reliability of repair due to i) limitations of technology and ii) reasons not attributable to quality of workmanship, on chargeable basis. Limited Warranty does not cover failure due to natural calamity like earthquake, cyclone, high voltage, natural pouring, wear & tear etc. and/or other factors specified in Standard Warranty.
  11. Sony reserves the right for not repairing the product in case of breach of these terms and any other stipulations set out in Standard Warranty.
  12. Sony reserve the rights to change, modify , withdraw or extend this offer and/or any terms hereof without prior notice at any point of time and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
  13. Sony shall not be deemed to be in default for any delay in repairing due to non-availability of spare(s), restriction/regulation(s) of government, public movement, war, riot, transportation issue, Act of God, or any unavoidable situation or Force Majeure etc.
  14. This Limited Warranty is being offered by Sony in its sole discretion and Sony reserves the right to refuse, suspend or withdraw the Limited Warranty at any time without prior notice.
