Casting from mobile devices or computers to the TV fails.
Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check to see if the issue is resolved after completing each step
IMPORTANT: For Google TV™, the cast function will be invalid if setting up with Basic TV mode.
- Make sure that your device and the TV are connected to the same home network.
- Make sure the Chromecast built-in or Google Cast Receiver app is not disabled.

- Select Apps — See all apps — Show system apps — Chromecast built-in or Google Cast Receiver — Enable. (Android™ 9 or later)
- Select Apps — Chromecast built-in or Google Cast Receiver — Enable. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
- Open the
- Clear data on Cast function apps, Android System WebView and Chromecast built-in.

- Select Apps — See all apps — Show system apps — Cast function apps — Clear data — OK. (Android 9 or later)
- Select Apps — Cast function apps — Clear data — OK. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
- Do the same for Android System WebView and Chromecast built-in as well.

- Open the
- Reset the TV.

For a mobile device, temporarily turn off the mobile device, and wait approximately one minute before turning it back on. - Update the TV to the latest software.
For how to update, refer to: How to perform a software update - Use the following procedure to uninstall updates for Android System WebView and Chromecast built-in. After uninstalling the updates, reset the TV and update these two apps to the latest version.

- Select Apps — See all apps — Show system apps — Android System WebView — Uninstall updates — OK. (Android 9 or later)
- Select Apps — Android System WebView — Uninstall updates — OK. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
- Do the same for Chromecast built-in as well.
- After uninstalling the updates, reset the TV.
- Update the two apps above to the latest version from the Google Play store.
- Open the
- From My Apps in the Google Play Store app, update all of the apps installed in the TV to the latest version.
- Make sure that your device and the TV have the correct time settings.
To set the date and time of the TV, refer to the following: How to adjust the date and time - For mobile device only: Terminate the Chromecast-enabled (Google Cast-enabled) app on the mobile device, and restart it.
Note: For details on how to terminate and restart apps, refer to the instructions manual of your mobile device. - Restart the wireless router. (Unplug the router, and wait approximately one minute before reconnecting the power.)
