What is the Accessibility Shortcut and how is it used?

About the Accessibility Shortcut
You can quickly access your favorite accessibility function by pressing and holding the MUTE button on your TV remote control for more than 5 seconds. By default, this opens the TalkBack function.
Note: If your TV displays a Use Accessibility Shortcut? message, press the Enter button to proceed.
Accessibility functions you can set as your preferred shortcut
- TalkBack
- Switch Access
- Text Magnification
- Screen Reader
Note: The accessibility functions you can choose from may differ by model.
How to configure the Accessibility Shortcut
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings (
or
) button and select
Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Accessibility → Accessibility shortcut → Shortcut service.
- Select System → Accessibility → Accessibility shortcut → Shortcut service.
- Select your preferred accessibility function.
Notes:
- Depending on the model, the Accessibility Shortcut option is not available during the initial TV setup.
- Depending on the model, when the TalkBack feature is set to ON, Edit in Quick Settings cannot be used.
- For eARC supported models, when the TalkBack is activated, eARC mode will be Off.
