What is Netflix calibrated mode?

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article.

The Netflix calibrated mode on your Android TV™ or Google TV™ allows you to experience picture quality close to a filmmaker's vision and intent. Follow the instructions below to turn it on or off:

For Android TVs and Google TVs released after 2019 listed below:

• 2021 models: X95J, Z9J,  X90J (50-75, 100), A90J, A80J, XRM-X95J, XRM-Z9J, XRM-X90J, XRM-A90J, XRM-A80J series
• 2020 models: A9S, A8H, Z8H, X95H (55, 65, 75), X95H (49, 85), X90H, X91H, KM-X9000H series
• 2019 models: Z9G, A9G, X95G series
  1. Launch Netflix.
  2. Press the  (Quick Settings) button on the supplied remote control.
     
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Display & Sound.
  5. Select Picture.
  6. Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.

NOTES:

• If the Netflix calibrated mode is set to ON, the Picture mode settings become grayed out.
• If you want to select other Picture mode settings, follow steps 1 to 6 above to turn off the Netflix calibrated mode.

For A9F and Z9F series (2018 models):

1. Launch Netflix.
2. Press the ACTION MENU button on the supplied remote control.
3. The next step is depending on which way the menu is displayed on the screen.

   1. When the menu is displayed on the bottom of the screen (Quick Settings):
      1. Select Settings.
      2. Select Display & Sound.
      3. Select Picture.
      4. Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.
   2. When the menu is displayed on the top of the screen (Action Menu)
      1. Select Picture adjustments.
      2. Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.

NOTES:

• If the Netflix calibrated mode is set to ON, the Picture mode settings become grayed out.
• If you want to select other Picture mode settings, follow steps above to turn off the Netflix calibrated mode.
