How to adjust the date and time on the TV
The date and time are usually set automatically because the BRAVIA TV retrieves the date and time information from the broadcast signals or the network. If there are no broadcast signals or network connections available you may need to set the date and time manually.
The steps to adjust the date and time differ depending on the TV. Choose your TV model type below.
Note: To check the type of your TV, refer to the article How to check if your BRAVIA TV is a Google TV™, Android TV™, or other TV.
Google TV and Android TV models
Set the date and time automatically
With the TV receiving a broadcast signal or connecting to the network, follow these steps to check the setting:
- Open the
Settings screen. How to access Settings
- If the remote control has a
Quick Settings button:
- On the remote control, press the
(Quick Settings) button.
- Select
Settings.
- On the remote control, press the
- If the remote control does not have a
Quick Settings button:
- On the remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- If the remote control has a
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select System → Date & time → Automatic date & time.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Automatic date & time.
- Select Date & time → Automatic date & time.
- Set Automatic date & time to ON, Use broadcast time or Use network time (Use network-provided time).
Notes:- The available options can vary depending on the TV.
- For W8K and X74K, X75K series, the TV retrieves the Date and Time from the network only.
- If your TV has the Time synchronization setting in Date & time, set it to Use broadcast provided time or Use network-provided time.
If the time is not displayed correctly, there is a possibility that the Time Zone setting is not correct. Follow these steps to check the setting:
- Open the

- Select
Settings.
- On the remote control, press the

- On the remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select

- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select System → Date & time → Set time zone.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Time → Set time zone.
Note: If Time is not shown, select Set time zone. - Select Date & time → Set time zone.
- Select Date & time → Time → Automatic time zone → Off, then select Set time zone.
- Select your location.
Note: If you use a special network environment such as a VPN, the time on the TV may differ from the time of the location (area) where the TV is located.

- Select System → Date & time → Automatic date & time → Off.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Automatic date & time → Off.
- Select Date & time → Automatic date & time → Off
- To set the date and time manually select Set date and Set time, or Date and Time.
Other TV models
By default, the Date and Time are automatically set when the TV receives that information from a broadcast signal or network. If you want to adjust the Date or Time settings manually, follow these steps:
- On the remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select System Settings in the Settings category.
- Select Setup.
- Select Clock/Timers.
- Select Clock Set and then select the item to be adjusted.
- Auto or Manual: Select Manual to set the current time manually. (except for Australia and New Zealand)
- Automatic time zone: Enabling this will allow you to set whether or not to automatically apply the time zone you are in. If you set this to Off, the time is displayed according to the time difference set by Time Offset.
- Automatic daylight saving time: Enabling this will allow you to set whether or not to automatically switch between summer time and winter time according to the calendar.
- Date: This is where you can set the current date manually. (except for Australia and New Zealand)
- Time: This is where you can set the current time manually. (except for Australia and New Zealand)
- Time Offset: This is where you can set the time zone manually.
Note: In Australia and New Zealand, the Date and Time cannot be changed manually. If you want to change the time zone, set Automatic time zone to Off and then select the time zone in Time Offset.
