To connect your TV to the Amazon Alexa app, follow these steps:
NOTE: The Amazon Alexa app is a mobile application provided by Amazon. You can access the Amazon Alexa app from your smartphones or tablets.
- On the supplied TV remote control, press the HOME button.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Under Your apps, select See all — TV Control with Smart Speakers app.
- Select Apps — TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app.
- If TV Control with Smart Speakers app or TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app is displayed on the Home screen, select one of them.
NOTE: If your TV is not supported, neither the TV Control with Smart Speakers app nor the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app will appear on the apps list. - The next steps will depend on the app you selected in the previous step.
TV Control with Smart Speakers app
- Follow the instruction on the screen. Read the Privacy Policy to the end and select Proceed.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
- Choose your TV name from the list. If you have already chosen your TV name on the Initial setup, the name is at the top of the list and labeled Current TV Name.
- When the Select a smart speaker to connect to this unit screen appears, select Devices with Amazon Alexa.
- Once the standby screen is displayed, continue the setup from the Amazon Alexa app on your device.
- On the Amazon Alexa app, enable Sony’s Google TV™ skill.
NOTE: When Sony’s Google TV skill on the Amazon Alexa app is already enabled, say “Alexa, discover my devices” and skip to Step 9. - On the Amazon Alexa app, input the Google Account the same account you choose in Step 2.
- On the Amazon Alexa app, press the Discover button.
- On the TV, once device discovery is completed, the Setup completed message is displayed.
- Select Done to exit from the setup.
- Check if you can control the TV via your Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. For example, “Alexa, turn off (the TV name you selected in Step 3)”.
TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app
- At the initial setup screen, click Next, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

- Agree to the Privacy Policy and go to the next screen.

- Under the Log in with Google screen, select Next.

- Choose your Google Account and go to the next step.
NOTE: If a Google Account is not registered on the TV, register your account at this time.

- Choose an easy-to-say TV name.
NOTE: Pick from the list or create your own TV name.

- On the Amazon Alexa app, complete these three last steps.
- On your phone, enable the Sony’s TV - Basic skill.
NOTE: When Sony’s TV - Basic skill on the Amazon Alexa app is already enabled, say “Alexa, discover my devices” and skip to Step 7. - Link your accounts by entering the same Google Account as you chose in Step 4.
- Ask Alexa to discover your devices.

- On the TV, select Done to exit from the setup. Otherwise, ask Alexa to try the other functions available.
