Registering my Touchpad Remote Control or Voice Remote Control always fails.
Failed to register the Voice Remote Control function.
Follow the steps below to re-pair the remote control.
- Remove and reinsert the remote control batteries.
- In Settings, turn Bluetooth off then back on again.
- If the TV and remote control are paired, unpair them. Follow the steps below to check if they are paired..
- Re-pair the remote control.
- Perform a Power Reset procedure.
- Remove and reinsert the remote control batteries.
Notes:- Pairing can fail if the battery level is low. Change the batteries to new ones and try pairing again.
- For Google TV™ models released in 2022 or later (except for W8K and X74K / X75K series): When you follow the instructions on the screen and the red LED indicator above the microphone hole blinks rapidly just for two seconds, the battery level is low. Change the batteries to new ones and try pairing again.
- In Settings, turn Bluetooth off then back on again.

- Select Remotes & Accessories.
- Select Remotes & Accessories — Bluetooth settings.
- Select Bluetooth settings.
- Select BRAVIA Settings.
- Select Bluetooth, then disable the function.
- Select Bluetooth again, then enable the function.

- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings.
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Remotes & Accessories — Bluetooth settings.
- Select Remotes & Accessories.
- Select Bluetooth settings.
- Check if the device information (ex: SONY TV RC MIC 001) of the remote control is displayed.
- If the device information of the remote control is not displayed, check step 4 below.
- If the device information of the remote control is displayed, use the following procedure to unpair.
- Select the device information of the remote control.
- Select Unpair.
- Select OK.
- Re-pair the remote control.
Notes:- If the Remote Control is registered to a different TV, turn that TV off and then follow the steps below to reregister your Remote Control to the desired TV.
- There are two types of remote controls referred to in this answer. The microphone mark is printed on both types, as shown in this image.
- The position of the microphone button/mark may vary, depending on your region or model.
