How do I close or disable apps on my Android TV / Google TV?

Android™ 10 / Android™ 11 operating system

1. Press Quick Settings button on the remote control
2. Select Settings.
3. From the Settings screen, select Apps 
4. Press the up or down arrow buttons to highlight the app you want to close or disable.
5. Press  Enter button on the remote control.
6. Select Force stop or Disable.

Android™ 8.0 Oreo™/Android™ 9.0 Pie operating system

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. At the HOME screen, select the Apps icon OR press and hold the HOME button to open the list of installed apps.
3. Press the left, right, up, or down arrow buttons to highlight the app you want to close or disable.
4. Press and hold the   Enter button.
5. Select Info.
6. Select Force stop or Disable.
