How do I close apps on my Android TV/Google TV?

Android™ 10 / Android™ 11 operating system

1. Press Quick Settings button on the remote control
2. Select Settings.
3. From the Settings screen, select Apps 
4. Press the up or down arrow buttons to highlight the app you want to close.
5. Press  Enter button on the remote control.
6. Select Force stop.

Android™ 8.0 Oreo™/Android™ 9.0 Pie operating system

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. At the HOME screen, select the Apps icon OR press and hold the HOME button to open the list of installed apps.
3. Press the left, right, up, or down arrow buttons to highlight the app you want to close.
4. Press and hold the   Enter button.
5. Select Info.
6. Select Force stop.

Android™ 7.0 Nougat™ and below operating system

1. On the supplied remote control, press and hold the HOME button.
2. Press the left or right arrow buttons to highlight the app.
3. Press the down arrow button to highlight the X (Dismiss) icon.
4. Press the   Enter  button.
