The TV's Voice Control with Amazon Alexa-Enabled Devices suddenly stops working

There are two possible reasons why voice control suddenly stopped working:

• You've been signed out (maybe you haven't used this service for a while)
• The link with the Amazon Alexa app* on your smartphone has been disconnected. If the Amazon Alexa app* received a notification, following this notification may restore the link to the TV.
  * The Amazon Alexa app is a mobile application provided by Amazon.

Follow the steps below to perform the necessary operations on your TV and smartphone.

1. Sign in again to the TV Control with Smart Speakers app on the TV.

2. Link the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone to the account registered on the TV.

If the Privacy Policy for the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app changes, you won't be able to use voice commands to control your TV with Alexa. To keep using Alexa for TV control, you'll need to agree to the updated Privacy Policy.

You'll see a message about this when you try to control your TV with Alexa after the Privacy Policy update: The Privacy Policy has changed. Please run TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa to accept the changes.

When this message is displayed, you can agree to the new Privacy Policy by following these steps:

1. Select the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app.
   For Android™ OS 8.0 or later
   1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
   2. Select Apps.
   3. Select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa.
   For Android OS 7.0
   1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
   2. Select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa in the Apps category.
2. When the Privacy Policy screen is displayed, select Agree or Proceed.
   Note: Scroll down and display the full text of the Privacy Policy to select Agree or Proceed.
3. Confirm that you can use voice commands to control the TV with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices.
