Bluetooth Connectivity

1. Turn on the Speaker: Power on your Sony speaker system and switch it to Bluetooth mode. Refer to your speaker's manual if you’re unsure how to activate Bluetooth mode.

2. Enable Bluetooth on Your Device: Open the Bluetooth settings on your device (phone, tablet, or computer) and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

3. Pair the Devices: Search for available Bluetooth devices in your device’s settings. Look for the name of your Sony speaker system in the list and select it to pair.

4. Confirm Connection: Once paired, the BLUETOOTH indicator on the speaker’s front panel will light up, confirming the connection. 

Here are a few things to check:

1. Is the Speaker Already Connected?
   Ensure the speaker isn’t already paired with another device. If it is, disconnect it from that device first.

2. Are You Within Range?
   Move closer to the speaker to ensure you’re within the Bluetooth range, typically around 10 meters (33 feet).

3. Restart Both Devices
   Turn off your speaker system and device, then turn them back on. This can resolve temporary connectivity issues. 

No, the SA-D100/SA-D20/SA-D40/SA-D40M2 models support only one Bluetooth device connection at a time. To connect a new device, you’ll need to disconnect the currently connected device first. 

The Bluetooth range of the speaker system is approximately 10 meters (33 feet) in an open area without obstructions. Walls, furniture, and other electronic devices may reduce the effective range. 

To reset and delete the Bluetooth pairing:

1. Ensure the Bluetooth function is selected on the speaker system.
2. Press and hold the USB Play button on the subwoofer for over two seconds.
3. While holding the USB Play button, press the VOLUME– button on the remote control.

The pairing information will be cleared, and the power indicator will turn red, confirming that all previously paired devices have been deleted. 

The SA-D100/SA-D20/SA-D40/SA-D40M2 models are compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs. However, compatibility may vary with devices using older Bluetooth versions or uncommon protocols. 

1. Check the Range: Ensure your device and the speaker system are within the Bluetooth range (typically 10 meters or 33 feet).

2. Avoid Interference: Move away from other wireless devices or networks that may cause signal interference.

3. Check Your Device’s Battery: Make sure your device has enough battery power, as low battery levels can impact audio performance.

4. Restart the Connection: Disconnect the Bluetooth connection and reconnect it to refresh the pairing.
   
   If the issue persists, try resetting the speaker or testing with another Bluetooth device. 

Use the Function button on the remote control to toggle between Bluetooth, TV, and USB modes. Select the desired input source, and the speaker system will adjust accordingly. 

The SA-D100/SA-D20/SA-D40/SA-D40M2 models support standard Bluetooth audio codecs, specifically SBC. High-quality codecs are not supported.
