All network status tests fail when performing the wireless network diagnosis on my TV

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

The connection diagnosis test from the TV menu displays not accessible or Failed and the built-in wireless LAN of the TV (or USB wireless LAN adapter UWA-BR100) does not operate.

Please try the following steps.
When you are using built-in wireless LAN:
When you are using USB wireless LAN adapter UWA-BR100:

When you are using built-in wireless LAN:

1. Check the built-in wireless function is activated.
   • For Android TV™/Google TV™ models
     1. Open the  Settings screen.  How to access Settings:
        • Using the  Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
          1. Press the  (Quick Settings) button on the remote control.
          2. Select  Settings.
        • Using the HOME button
          1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
          2. Select  Settings.
     2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Network & Internet — Wi-Fi and set to On.
        • Select Network — Advanced Settings — Built-in Wi-Fi and set to On.
   • For other TV models released in and after 2015
     1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
     2. Select Settings.
     3. Select System Settings.
     4. Select Set-up. 
     5. Select Network.
     6. Select Built-in Wi-Fi.
     7. Select On.
   • For models released in and before 2014
     1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
     2. Select Settings.
     3. Select Network.
     4. Select Built-in Wi-Fi or Built-in Wireless LAN.
     5. Select On.
2. Perform a power reset on the TV.

   For other TV models: How to perform a power reset on a Sony television.
    
3. Carry out the connection diagnosis anew.
   If other diagnosis results are displayed, please try an individual solution.
   • (Wireless) Connection diagnosis results are displayed as found (or OK), Failed, Failed.
   • (Wireless) Connection diagnosis results are displayed as found (or OK), OK, Failed.
   • Although all connection diagnosis results are OK, the TV cannot be connected to the Internet (network error).

When you are using USB wireless LAN adapter UWA-BR100:

1. Disconnect UWA-BR100 from the TV.
2. Turn off the power supply of the TV by remote controller and disconnect the power cord (mains lead).
3. Connect the power cord (mains lead) again and turn on the power supply.
4. Connect UWA-BR100 again.
5. Carry out the connection diagnosis anew.

   If the issue is still unresolved, your TV or UWA-BR100 may need to be repaired. Go to Product Repair.

   If other diagnosis results are displayed, please try an individual solution.

   • (Wireless) Connection diagnosis results are displayed as found (or OK), Failed, Failed.
   • (Wireless) Connection diagnosis results are displayed as found (or OK), OK, Failed.
   • Although all connection diagnosis results are OK, the TV cannot be connected to the Internet (network error).
