My registered device can't connect to the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app

    If the registered device fails to connect to the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app, please check the following settings:

    • In the smartphone Settings menu, set both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to On.
    • In the smartphone Settings menu, allow permission to use the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app location.
    • If you're using an iPhone, follow the steps below to allow access to the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app:
      • In the iPhone's Settings menu, select SettingsPrivacy & SecurityLocal Network.
    • Make sure the registered device is turned ON.
      If you're using a TV, you can set it up on the TV to turn on from the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app:
      • Go to SettingsNetwork & InternetRemote startOn (Powered on by apps).
    • Make sure the smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the one used to set up the device.
    • If you don't use the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app for a certain period of time, you will be signed out of the app automatically. If this happens, sign in to the app again.
    • If your network setup has changed or the device has been initialized, register the device again in the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app.
    • If the registered device is a TV, check if the BRAVIA Connect remote control feature setting is enabled. To check the settings: Go to the Quick Settings menu, then select SettingsNetwork & InternetBRAVIA Connect remote control feature.
      Note: This setting may not be available depending on your country or region.
    • If the smartphone's Battery Saver or Low Power mode is turned ON, charge the smartphone and turn these settings OFF.
      Note: These modes may have different names depending on the smartphone.
    • Restart the app and the smartphone.
    • If the issue is still not resolved, delete the device registration from the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app, initialize the device, and then register the device again in the app.
