The CD writing function provided by Windows® XP

Windows® XP has a CD-R/RW writing function as one of the standard functions. However, this function is limited to the creation of simple data CDs and audio CDs.
As each CD-R/RW drive has its own programming commands, the software that controls it needs to support the programming commands.

Windows® XP does not support the writing format such as Disc At Once or Track At Once.
It does not support the creation of system CD either.

As for the creation of audio CDs, they can be created with Windows Media Player. Since the audio data is written in the Disc At Once format , extra audio data cannot be added after recording.
