Why can't CPU Control be set to Performance when the VAIO computer is running on battery?
Under the Maximum Performance profile, the CPU Control status cannot be changed to Performance when the VAIO computer is powered by the battery.
The setting of the items may vary depending on models.
It is not possible for the CPU to operate at the maximum clock speed without using the AC adapter. Therefore, the setting option will not be displayed (it varies depending on models). Ths is due to the specification to prevent any computer unstability.
To enable the Performance setting, connect the AC adapter to computer and swtich on the power supply.
