How to run Scandisk in Windows® 2000?
Running Scandisk in Windows® 2000.
Before performing the Scan Disk function, please disable the Screen Saver function with the steps below.
A. Disabling the Screen Saver function
1. Right-click an empty area on the desktop.
2. Click Properties and click the Screen Saver tab.
3. Click the Screen Saver tab.
5. Select None for screen saver.
6. Click Apply and click OK.
Please refer to the steps below to perform the Scan Disk function:
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Right-click the desired drive and click Properties.
3. Click the Toolstab.
4. Click Check Now.
5. Select the Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors options.
6. Click Start.
7. Click Yes.
8. Scandisk will automatically launch once Windows® 2000 restarts.
