Why does the VAIO computer display a blue screen when the Sony i.LINK 1394 CD-RW/DVD combo drive is connected?
After performing Windows® 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4), the VAIO computer shows Stop Error (a blue screen is displayed) when the Sony i.LINK 1394 CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive is connected.
This symptom occurs when all of the following exists:
1. Windows® 2000 SP4 installed.
2. Windows Media Player 9 series installed.
3. Sony i.LINK 1394 CD-RW/DVD combo drive connected.
