How do I adjust the initialization volume level or the PC card sound effects?
You can adjust the volume level on [Audio] tab in Sony Notebook Setup.

To show the [Audio] tab of the Sony Notebook Setup, click the [Advanced] button on the [Basic/Advanced] tab.
[Remarks]
This setting does not affect volumes for Windows applications (such as WAV files or music CDs).
