Caution Label "To Avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet"

Some VAIO PCs have the caution label, "To Avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet" on the bottom side of them. What happens if the user disassembles the computer?

There is a 1-cm long by 1.5 cm wide silver label saying "Do not disassemble" on the right side of the battery, near the connector. (Japanese language)
What happens if the user disassembles the computer?

The PCG-C1 series and PCG-N505 series have very delicate construction and some parts are easily damaged by static electricity. For these reasons, if the PC is disassembled, some parts of the PC may be damaged (in the worst case, the whole computer is damaged).

Sony does not recommend that users add memories to PCG-C1 and the PCG-N505xx series by themselves because of the same reason.

From this point of view, this label is placed to call the user's attention and ask the users not to disassemble the PC. Even if the user peels off the label, the PC is repaired free of charge according to the terms and conditions in the warranty card. However, if the PC is out of the terms and conditions of the warranty card such as having modification, the PC may be repaired with charges (Warranty Void).

When the label is peeled off, the letter "VOID" appears. The original condition cannot be restored. Cosmetics of the PC are not affected if the label is peeled off.
