    Why can't I use 5G network on my Xperia 1 II dual sim device?

    Why the notification of '5G Usage restriction' is appeared on my Xperia 1 II dual sim device? / Dual SIM cannot work with 5G.

    Solution

    The usage of 5G network is restricted when two SIMs are activated in Xperia 1 II Dual SIM device. To use 5G network, please deactivate the secondary SIM.

    To deactivate the secondary sim

    1. Find and tap Settings > Network & Internet > SIM cards > deactivate SIM 2.

     Tip: If you want to turn off the '5G usage notifications' appeared on the device, long press the notification and then select "Turn off notifications"  or 

    1. Find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > Configure notifications > Phone Services > 5G usage notification > disable.
