When you switch the TV's Speaker Output setting between the TV and Sound Bar, the volume will switch with it, so a different value will be shown.
If you are using the TV in combination with the Sound Bar and switch the TV's speaker output setting between the TV and Sound Bar, the volume will switch with it, so a different value will be shown. This is not a malfunction.
For example, when switching the speaker output from the TV (internal speaker volume 40 dB) to Sound Bar, the volume shown will switch to the Sound Bar volume (20 dB).
(10 db - 100 db)
(20 db - 50 db)
[A] TV internal speaker volume display (40 db)
[B] Sound Bar volume display (20 dB)
You can see this situation in effect when performing the following settings with the Sound Bar connected to the Sony BRAVIA.
- When switching the Bravia Sync device control (Control for HDMI) OFF/ON.
- When switching the TV's Speaker Output to TV Speakers/Audio System.
