How to hear TV audio from Sound Bar only.

TV audio comes out of both the TV speakers and Sound Bar.

Follow these steps if the TV and Sound bar are connected with and HDMI® cable and audio comes out of the TV's built-in speakers and the Sound bar at the same time:

Each of these steps represents a possible solution to the issue. Check if the sound only comes out of the Sound bar after completing each procedure.

  1. On your Sound bar, make sure the Control for HDMI function is on.
    1. Using the Sound Bar remote control, press and hold the VOICE button for 5 seconds.
      • The USB indicator flashes twice indicating the Control for HDMI function is on.
         
  2. Turn the Sound bar on and off.
    1. Using TV's remote control of the TV, turn the TV off. 
      • Check if the Sound bar turns off at the same time. 
    2. If the Sound bar doesn't turn off, use the Sound bar remote to turn the Sound bar off.
    3. Using the remote control of the TV, turn the TV on.
      • Check if the Sound bar turns on at the same time. 
    4. If the Sound bar doesn't turn on, use the Sound bar remote to turn off the Sound bar.
       
  3. Reset the Sound bar to the default settings.
    1. Press and hold the power and volume buttons for more than 5 seconds, 
    2. Disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. 
    3. Reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet.
