No sound comes out of the subwoofer, or the sound is small.

When a source contains few low sounds (television programs, etc.), sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Use the following procedure to playback the test tone or the internal sample music and verify whether sound is coming out of the subwoofer.

For X9000F/XF9000/Z9F/ZF9:

  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Setup.
  3. Select Advanced Settings.
  4. Select Speaker Settings.
  5. Select Manual Speaker Settings.
  6. Select Test Tone, and then select On.
    Select Off to end playback of Test Tone.

For models other than the above:

  1. Press the INPUT button or iconbutton on the Sound Bar for 5 seconds to playback the internal sample music.
  2. Press the INPUT or iconbutton again to end playback of the internal sample music and return it to its former state.

If the issue persists after completing the above, proceed with the following:

  1.  Set the night mode to off.
  2.  Adjust the volume of the subwoofer.
