i got these a month ago and they are great! however i have experience a few bug like issues with my headphones where the audio randomly stopping for no reason and random power offs after raising up enquires on the sony website and the

I bought them and got them today absolutely fantastic love them.

Does exactly what I wanted and needed it to. Only strange thing is that on (rare) occasions, the connection drops when MS Teams is on.

After my am husband and I owning the Sony buds we decided to upgrade to these and wow we are blown away with the effect of noise cancellation and the awesome sound.

Maybe if it was below £100 become 4-5 starts . it was Stop working because when I was sweating. That's it ! £250 gone and It's not covered by Sony or Curry's warranty policies. I am going back to JBL

Battery should have lasted 30 hours and lasted about 15. Other than that, light headset with great noise-cancelling capability. Comfortable to wear.

It's very impressive how you can isolate yourself from all the noise around you with just a click. Additionally it's very well-designed comfortable and portable. Overall it's great.

Overall an excellent set of headphones. My Bose QC35ii's are more comfortable through long wearing while their Bluetooth is also generally more stable. Sound wise I think these are the winner and the customisation via the app is brilliant.

I've been dreaming of these headphones since 2020 and finally got them in 2023. It was definitely worth the price point and so aesthetically pleasing. Functions on the headphones are very useful and I like how seamlessly it can connect to my other devices. Battery life is amazing too, I've been using it for 5 days straight now and still has a great amount of charge. Plus, listening to music feels like you're in the studio with the artist themselves, I love it so much. I can't lie, the first day I wore them I felt dizzy but it's common when you first experience noise-cancelling headphones in general but afterwards you become used to it.

I’d read plenty of rave reviews on the Sony WH1000 XM4s, so once the price has been reduced to the arrival of the XM5s, I thought I’d better get in there before stock ran out! In short, these headphones are stunning. Sound-wise, they aren’t what you call strictly ‘accurate’ - the sound is quite V-shaped, with a boost in treble and bass - but Sony have developed their default EQ setting to somehow make everything sound fabulous. It’s pretty much impossible not to be impressed. Classical, reggae, metal, pop, jazz - these headphones excel with everything. It sounds cliched, but I am hearing detail in music that I’d never heard before. You can make EQ changes if you like, and also included is something called DSEE which is supposed to enhance the sound even more, but I’ve seen no need to use either of these functions. The active noise cancelling is very impressive, with heavy traffic passing me from the pavement being reduced to a whisper. They are comfortable too, although at this price I would’ve liked real leather covered ear pads (my wired Sennheiser Momentum 2s has these, at a similar price point). In appearance, the headphones are premium in finish, but are not showy at all. On the black model at least, there’s rose-gold accenting which sounds horrible, but actually looks really nice. The headphones work without an app, although it’s recommended that you download it as it works really nicely. It gives you access to loads of clever functions such as the headphones knowing whether you’re at work or home, sitting about or walking - and then adjusting the noise cancellation settings accordingly. Every time the headphones make an adjustment in this regard, a tone sounds, but you can turn this off as it can getting a bit annoying - particularly on windy situations. The app even wants to take photos of your ears to make further adjustments to the sound to make it as personal as possible! Another nice touch is that the headphones will pause automatically when you take them off your head. The good: •Stunning sound •Great app •Stunning sound •Lots of clever features and customisation •Stunning sound •Premium finish … oh, and the sound is stunning! The bad: •No IP rating (not waterproof or sweatproof, so keep them out of the rain, and avoid using them for exercise) •Leather ear pads would’ve been nice •Very short charging cable In conclusion, if you can afford £250 to spend on headphones, get these. I have no hesitation in giving them the highest rating overall in terms of sound, functionality and presentation

Bought these a couple weeks ago and here is how I’ve got on : Sound quality is great and noise cancellation is spot on, after using these on a flight they completely blocked out the noise of the engine. Comfort is also spot on. A downside I would say is the sound leaks from the headphones so if you’re conscious of others hearing your music, on higher volume they are super loud outside the headphone. Also after long durations of wear they seem to ache my jaw but is not awful. Also for excerisize the pads are not sweat resistant and the headphones do fall off relatively easily. Overall great headphones but thought I’d give my opinion:)

Great set of headphones - they're not the latest model but why pay full price. 5 Star rave reviews on release and nothing has changed. The sound is crisp, clear and superb. Build quality is excellent and the way they fold into the small storage case is genius. Noise cancelling is brilliant and the controls easy to operate. Would thoroughly recommend if on a tight budget

Outstanding pair of over-the-ear heaphones. I was initially worried the headphones would be incompatible with my smartphone. However, my concern was allayed. My smartphone as the latest Bluetooth codec formats to work with the headphones. This is first pair of headphones I have purchased with active noise cancelling, so without having a reference against another on performance, it's difficult for me to give a considered opinion. I will say the headphones have a premium feel to them and are quite robust compared to other headphones I have owned and weighing in at just 254grms, makes these exceptionally comfortable to wear too.

Never had headphones so good. An absolute treat especially for a musician with very picky ears!

Can't connect to my Sony TV KD-55XG8196.. tried the app etc. Headphones connect to phone etc. but not tv Phones connect to tv .. all very frustrating

I bought these in March, they were intermittently failing to charge by July. Online discussion suggests that the headphones are predicting their charge incorrectly, and so not responding correctly to being plugged in. I sent them to Sony to be repaired and they accused me of causing water damage and showering with the headphones, and all they could do was try to sell me a new pair as a "solution". It's absurd that something this expensive is so fragile and has such poor customer support.

Excellent headphones. Very good noise cancelling and good for calls.

I tried the bose QC35 and the M4 have better NC which was the main reason of purchasing. More control in the Sony app also.

I bought these headphones a few weeks ago and I must say they are fantastic, if I split hairs if you are moving a lot (running or Manila labour) they will bleep and then continue playing with the worst they stop playing. Otherwise as I was advised you won’t get better headphones

Originally I wanted to buy a Bose, but I bought a Sony because the salesman suggested I buy it, he also owns it, it‘s great, he said I would like it, and it folds up small enough to fit in a bag. Yes, I love it, easy to use and the design is so smart, comfortable and gorgeous! Great headphones- my first and it will keep lasted a long time.

Xm5 haas good adaptive sound with the extra microphones buy in terms of sound quality, passive noise cancellation, comfortably and portability I think the Xm4 are better.

Got this one for my gym trips. Its perfect noise cancelling is best and it does keep me aware of my surroundings as per my settings.

Absolutely astonishing! Couldn't hear any sort of wind and the active noise cancellation is great for that. The sound quality is spectacular and the overall experience was spot on. Aswell as the case that comes with it and the easy connectivity. Surround sound is spot on too!

Recently purchased these headphones to replace my existing B&O headphones which had broken. First impressions are excellent. The sound quality is fantastic (and EQ settings can be altered through a Sony app to get them to sound exactly how you want) and the noise cancelling feature a bonus for noisy environments. There are also loads of additional features eg you can change volume or play previous/next track by swiping in the appropriate direction and the music even pauses temporarily when they are taken off. All in all I really love these headphones *and wish I'd bought them earlier!

I found better than than the newer XM5s for sound quality on music, One thing I don't see mentioned much is just how good they are with the spoken word , books, vlogs podcasts. they are NOT audiophile headphones but they are just so enjoyable to use and wear, you find yourself using them more than you should

I've had headphones and in ear buds from all the major manufacturers, Beats, Shure, JBL, Bose and more, but these far exceed the others for noise cancelling. They're comfortable to wear for hours on end, the sound is excellent and the charge lasts for ages. There's a real separation between between frequencies, not muddy at all, brilliant. Only downside is they can get a bit sweaty so using them for the gym or on holiday is limited but doable.

It's super comfy to wear and the sound is amazing as well as the noise cancelling. It works wonderfully

I had a fault in one earphone but these headphones were just still under guarantee, I was expecting a repair but just received a brand new pair, excellent sound quality and full marks to Sony for prompt replacement.

I bought these Noise Cancelling headphones after reading reviews. I previously had another make which were uncomfortable for me to wear.

It's the first time I've ever used over head listening and I'm blown away by the sound of these. Really feels.lune your in the music not just listening to it - so.imersive as the quality of sound is amazing. They are comfortable and best if all every one can tell I'm listening to something. I'm disabled and walk with crutches. The amount of time people walk up to me and start taking, while.im fumbling to get to my in ear headphones to hit pause on what I'm listening to. My only down side is that they do get warm.... But looking forwar to that in the winter.

After trying my wife’s XM3 headphones. I went for the XM4. Very dissatisfied. The hiss produced when noise cancelling was louder than the noise I was trying to cancel out. After a few minutes my ears were suffering from fatigue from the direct hiss. Even music through them didn’t quite mask the hiss. Headphones were sent back for refund.

Brilliant headphones! The best noise cancelling functionality I've ever owned. Only issue I have with them (and it's minor) is mastering the controls on the right earphone. I find trying to adjust the volume really difficult, so I usually use my phone or laptop instead. Other than this, they are great headphones!

Most expensive pair I've owned and paying more makes a big difference. I absolutely love them. Only criticism is they're a bit on the heavy side. Not keen on some of the default settings but I know I can customise them in the app when I have time.

I love my Sony headphones. Once I went through the settings up process for them, the listening pleasure is even greater than beforehand.

Even though these have been replaced by the XM5 model some time ago the set of features, both hardware and software, is still top of the range. There sound won't be far off the new model or even more high-end alternatives while the ease of use, overall design, weight and ergonomics make it a great choice at the current price point. The extensive set of software features let's you dial in the sound either fully manually or with the help of some clever interface. My biggest concern has always been the noise cancellation putting more pressure on my ears but it's well managed and almost unnoticeable after a while. The touch controls are an improvement over similar solutions in both earlier Sony products and some of the competition but I'd love a tiny bit of feedback from the swipes and taps.

First the pros, great sound, great features, great ANC Cons build quality feels cheap for a premium set of headphones plus the connection drops out regularly or music stops for no reason When they are operating as they should they are awesome but the niggles are frustrating

Bought these headphones over a year ago and haven't looked back since. I used to buy cheaper headphones but ever since getting these I don't think I will ever be able to go back, the difference in sound quality, latency, and comfort is huge. The battery is amazing and easily gets me through a few days of work and it charges quite quickly considering the battery life. Overall just amazing headphones which I would still recommend even with the newer generation out.

Only one word describes these headphones brilliant bought these as my Apple pods had developed a fault. The sound is fantastic used on my flight to Spain last week the noise cancelling was great can’t fault them

I got fed up with in ear buds and researched over ear noise cancelling headphones and the XM4's are perfect, great noise cancelling and able to connect to 2 Bluetooth connections, very happy 😊

As a previous user of the 1000XM3 (the wifes) I decided to get some myself. The XM5's didn't seem worth the extra money for what they have and with a good discount these had to be bought. Was torn between bose and Sony but I prefer the Sony ones personally. Not much, if any, looks between the xm3 and xm4 but the noise cancelling does seem better.

Bought this on Amazon UK after researching extensively about different noise-cancelling headphones and I love it. Noise cancelling works well, almost feels weird how you can barely hear anything when it's turned on. Love that I can switch between ambient sound mode, noise-cancelling and the passive noise-cancelling. I will say I heard some weird buzzing sound when using noise cancelling on the right earcup which went away after recalibrating noise-cancelling and restarting the headset.

I’ve had the pleasure of using a Variety of Sony’s Headphones including earbuds - These are equal to the XM3s and surpass them in the noise cancelling - The sound quality is still well balanced and produces a great sound stage across the frequencies and there is noticeable separation- And if not to you liking the Sony App allows tweaking with the great EQ - I love them!

The sound quality is really good so much better then my headphones I love that when you take the headphones off the music just stops automatically and when put back on the music continues they fit perfectly cannot fault these headphones at all

I use these for fps games, and the sound stage is excellent. However I find the touch controls on the earphone fiddly and the Bluetooth struggles to connect to my LG TV . The noise cancelling is very good and gives good isolation.

i have had this for a couple of days now and I can confi5thst thye are very good. the battery life is amazing and the headphones produce great sound. It also has many cool features to make the users headphone experience comfortable.
