I’ve been using the FE 28–70mm F2 GM extensively for my professional wedding and couple shoots, and I’m extremely happy with its performance. One moment that truly impressed me was during early morning shoots, when strong sunlight was coming directly from behind the couple. Even in such challenging backlight conditions, I was able to retain beautiful, natural skin tones with excellent clarity, without losing detail or contrast. The dynamic range and color rendering are simply outstanding. The lens feels very comfortable and balanced to work with, even during long shooting hours. The constant f/2 aperture gives me the creative flexibility I need, and the output often feels close to prime-lens quality—especially reminiscent of a 35mm look, which I personally love. Overall, this lens covers almost everything I need in real-world shooting scenarios. I am fully satisfied, genuinely happy, and I will definitely recommend this lens to my friends and fellow photographers. An absolutely brilliant lens—worth every bit. Thank you, Sony.

This lens is awsome to use, almost a prime killer, although on the bulky side. Also, can create some "onion rings" effects in certain conditions that can undesirable. But overal a very solid lens. Very good build quality and crazy fast autofocus for the size of the lens.

It is an amazing do-it-all lens that I am super pleased with. Having f2 in a zoom lens makes it perfect for low-light wedding and event photography. This is a great middle ground between fast primes and versatile zoom lenses. The only downside for me is the heavy distortion at 28 mm. Hopefully soon there will be a lens profile correction for lightroom and some in camera distortion fix for video.
