BRAVIA™ HD TV (LED & LCD)

WARNING: This procedure involves enabling file sharing. When you enable file sharing, other people on your network may be able to access the files on your computer.

IMPORTANT:

• You must have networking set up properly to complete this procedure.
  
• Complete this procedure on each computer on your network that will share media files.
  
• If you are using firewall or security software, you must configure it properly to allow networking and file sharing. Check the manufacturer's instructions for information on the proper configuration procedure.
  
• The steps listed below are for Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system.
  

1. Click the Start button and then click Network.
   
   
2. In the Network window, on the menu bar, click the Network and Sharing Center button.
   
   
3. Click the Close button.
   
   
4. In the Network and Sharing Center window, under Sharing and Discovery, next to File sharing, click the down-arrow button to expand the selection.
   
   
   
5. In the File sharing section, click to select Turn on file sharing.
   
   
   
6. Click the Apply button.
   
   
   
7. Next to Media Sharing, click the down-arrow button to expand the selection.
   
   
8. In the Media Sharing section, click the Change button.
   
   
9. In the Media Sharing window, click to check the box next to Share my media and then click the OK button.
   
   NOTE: If prompted for an administrator password or a User Account Control prompt is displayed, type the appropriate password or click Continue.
   
   
10. In the Media Sharing window, in the Sharing settings section, click the select the computer or network device to which you want to share your media files.
    
    
11. Click the Allow button.
    
    NOTE: The computer or device will now have a green checkmark on the icon.
    
    
12. In the Sharing settings section, click the Settings button.
    
    
13. In the Media Sharing - Default Settings window, configure the desired settings.
    
    NOTE: You can configure media type, star rating and parental rating filters for the files you want to share.
    
    
    
14. Click the OK button.
    
    
15. In the Media Sharing window, click the OK button.
    
    
16. Click the Start button and then click Windows Media Player.
    
    
17. In the Windows Media Player window, right-click on a blank area of the menu bar.
    
    
    
18. In the drop-down menu, click Tools and then click Options.
    
    
19. In the Options window, click the Library tab.
    
    
20. On the Library tab, in the Sharing section, click the Configure Sharing button.
    
    
21. In the Media Sharing window, click to check the box next to Find media that others are sharing.
    
    
22. Click the OK button.
