System requirements to use on the computer.

Answer

The recorder can be used on Windows computer or Macintosh computer which satisfies the following system requirements.

Operating System

Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows XP Media Center Editon 2005 Service Pack2 or higher
Windows XP Professional Service Pack2 or higher
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack2 or higher
Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack4 or higher *
Mac OS X ( v10.2.8 - v10.6.6 )
Pre-Installed

Others

Port: USB port

Sound board: Sound cards compatible with any of the supported operating systems

* When using Windows 2000 Professional, installation of the supplied driver is required. Install the driver using SonyRecorder_Driver.exe in the recorder.

Notes:

Sony does not guarantee trouble-free operation of the system suspend, sleep, or hibernation function on all computers.

The above system requirements are required when you save a recorded WAV file on a PC via a USB connection.

The following systems are not supported.

Windows XP 64-bit Edition.
Operating Systems other than the those indicated on the above.
Self assembled computers or Operating Systems.
Upgraded Operating systems.
