Memory Card File Rescue will allow you to recover your important photos, music and movies you deleted by mistake, just by downloading software and following a few steps.

This software is free to download for Sony memory card owners.

What type of Sony memory media can be used with this software?
This software can be used on all Sony brand Memory Stick™ , SD Memory Card and USB Flash Drive* except:

Non-Sony brand Memory Stick™ , SD Memory Card and USB Flash Drive
Memory Stick™ for AIBO® robot
Memory Stick ROM™ for electronic dictionaries or e-Book readers
PSP® brand Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO Duo™ or Memory Stick Micro™

Note: Defect or damage of a memory card itself cannot be recovered.

* Suported models are USM-G, USM-LX(A), USM-L, USM-M and USM-N series.

What type of files can be recovered?
This software supports recovery of JPG (DCF), MPEG-1, MP4 (MPEG-4, MPEG-4 AVC), AVCHD file and other types of files, except:

Game data, and content-protected music and movies

Note:
- This software analyzes FAT file system and recovers a file on a memory card regardless of file format where possible.

- We do not guarantee a recovery of all data. Some file may not be recoverable due to its data status.

- Recovered files will be stored in PC.

The following system environment is required in order to use Memory Card File Rescue software.

Note: The operating system must have been factory installed as the standard operating system for the computer.

Other System Requirements:

Hard disk: 12 MB for installation of the software, 1 GB for recovery processing, plus sufficient space for recovered files
Display: minimum resolution 800 x 600, high color (16 bit) or better

Note:

Log on with the Administrator account when installing Memory Card File Rescue software.
Even if all of the above requirements are met, correct operation is not guaranteed.
Operation is not assured on custom-built computers, computers with user-installed operating systems, multi-boot environments and multi-monitor environments.
Memory Card File Rescue software does not support Mac OS.
When using Memory Card from other manufacturers, correct operation of this software is not assured.

The software download process requires authentication of the serial number listed on your Memory Card media. Please have your Memory Card media available.
To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.

Installation Procedures

Exit all other applications.
Double-click the downloaded file MCFileRescue.exe in the downloaded folder.
- In Windows XP, if an Open File Warning box appears. Click on Run to proceed with the installation.
Click Next.
Carefully read [License Agreement] and select [I accept the terms in the license agreement]. Then click Next.
Click Install.
Click Finish.
The software will be installed.
