Sony’s recently launched D-SLR camera, the 100 has been awarded the prestigious EISA award for the Best Consumer Camera for the year 2006-07. EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) which is Europe’s largest and most esteemed multimedia press organizations presented awards spanning across a broad diversity of digital age design concepts from consumer product design to internet-based streaming concepts.

Within the short span of time since its launch, Sony 100 had established itself firmly in the D-SLR market with outstanding features that earned it the respect of the EISA jury constituted by 50 members from audio, mobile electronics, video and photo magazines across 20 European countries. The EISA award signifies that the 100 has met the benchmark of judging criteria including the most advanced technologies, practical features, ergonomic and expression of design, and value for money.
