Terms and Conditions:
1. The Sony ‘Click of the Month’ Activity (hereinafter, “Activity”) shall commence from February 14, 2012 and terminate on December 31,2012; both days inclusive.
2. Participants are advised to read the ‘Terms and Conditions’ carefully before participating in this activity. Participation in the Activity shall imply that participant has duly read and agrees to adhere to & bound by the ‘Terms and Conditions’ stated herein.
3. Employees of Sony India Pvt. Ltd. (“Sony India”), Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Sony Pictures (SPE) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives and immediate family members of such Sony Group company employees are not eligible to participate in the Activity. Citizens of foreign countries residing in India and/or Non Resident Indians are also not eligible to participate in the Activity.
4. The Activity is intended to provide a platform to showcase user experiences. Sony India is only organising an Activity to enhance interactivity among its users. In no circumstances shall Sony India be held responsible for any picture showcased here, name & content mentioned in the Activity. All pictures, user comments & content are mentioned by the participants only.
5. This is a platform where participants may share their experience directly with Sony through provided interactive platform/s.
6. How to Participate:
STEP 1. Login to the Activity using https://www.flickr.com username and password.
STEP 2. After Login, participants will be directed to http://www.flickr.com/groups/sonyindiaalpha Participants will be required to join this group, where a discussion thread titled ‘Click of the Month’ for the corresponding month will appear.
STEP 3. Participants will be required to read the theme mentioned carefully. The participants will have to:
Share their picture in the group pool and the discussion link as well
STEP 4. One participant can post five pictures.
STEP 5.
A) Under no circumstances, shall people create new threads to post their pictures. Such entries shall be banned from the activity. Such users may also be banned from Sony India Alpha group.
B) All Activity entries will appear at the respective thread at http://www.flickr.com/groups/sonyindiaalpha or official Sony India fan page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/sonyindia in about 48 hours after review by Sony India and if the same is otherwise not disqualified for reasons mentioned hereafter.
C) All participants will have to make their pictures as ‘public'; so that all other participants can also see the pictures.
D) All pictures must be clicked using Sony Alpha cameras, participants shall have to disclose the exif data details of all pictures submitted at
http://www.flickr.com/groups/sonyindiaalpha Failing this, no picture will be added to the group or to the thread.
E) All pictures will have to be clicked using Sony Alpha cameras only. The participants will have to share following exif data details regarding their pictures:
- Alpha Camera Model
- Mode : Manual / Aperture Priority / Shutter Priority etc
- Shutter Speed
- Aperture
- ISO
7. Sony reserves full right to reject any text/image, even if inadvertently chosen.
8. Any picture or text description found irrelevant or any content which has any offensive comments or footage which is against moral sensibilities shall also be rejected without further reference or intimation to participant.
9. Sony India has right to approve & disapprove any entry at any point of time.
10. The entries found to be manipulated, any profiles found to be fraudulent or otherwise shall be disqualified summarily rejected at point of screening and shall be removed and not be available for viewing. Posting on the Activity does not imply acceptance of the entries, the entries shall be subject to screening/review to reject any fraudulent entries. Content found to have pornographic or offensive content will also be disqualified without further reference and the participants shall be solely liable for any consequences arising there from.
11. In case of any copyright violations or any damages arising out of the entry submitted as part of the Activity, the onus, responsibility and consequences thereof shall rest on the participant.
12. If the user decides to not join http://www.flickr.com/groups/sonyindiaalpha, he shall be redirected to his Flickr account.
13. How winners will be selected:
A) All photo entries will be judged by an eminent jury of photography experts headed by Mr Chandrakanth Kamath. The selection on jury will be final. Under no circumstances, can any participant choose to disobey or challenge the jury’s decision.
B) Winners will be declared at the end of every month. No SMS communication will be sent to participants or winners. Winning intimation will be published at http://www.flickr.com/groups/sonyindiaalpha and http://www.facebook.com/sonyindia The winner will be sent an intimation as Flickrmail on the registered Flickr ID. .
C) Sony India can use this picture for marketing purpose highlighting the photographer’s name. This should not be considered as copyright infringement.
14. Sony India reserves the right:
(a) To disqualify any Participant /winner if it has reasonable grounds to believe the Participant /winner has breached any of these terms and conditions or used any ‘wrongful means’
(b) To decide whether a replacement Participant should be selected in the event any Participant is disqualified from the Activity.
(c) Participants who are under Age 18 shall require written permission from the parent or guardian.
15. Any Participant using manipulative means or jeopardise any other Participant’s entry by any means shall be banned
16. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your votes is not allowed.
17. Use of abusive language and profane words and pictures is prohibited. Any such post will be deleted immediately. Sony India may ban such Flickr profiles from accessing their photo. galleries.
18. We strongly discourage rude or insulting posts or entries, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. We will ban such Flickr profiles from the gallery.
19. Sony India shall not be responsible in manner to anybody including any of the participants for the misuse of the Profile includes the Text/Images/Video uploaded by the participant or any unauthorized upload of any video/image.
20. Sony India may, without advance notice cancel or postpone the Activity at any time.
21. The ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein and as amended/modified from time to time as mentioned at the Sony India’s website www.sony.co.in shall apply to this Activity.
22. In case of change in date of event or cancellation thereof for any reason beyond control of Sony India, Sony India shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever.
23. Participation in the Activity is optional.
24. Disputes relating to this Activity shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi only.
