Why are shuffling noises produced when playing back an audio CD?

Shuffling noises can be heard when playing back an audio CD using PCGA-CD51A.

To resolve this symptom, please follow the steps below to change the playback settings for the respective multi-media applications.

For SonicStage:
1. Select the Tools tab and click Options.
2. Select the CD Recording/Playing 2 tab.
3. In CD Playing, click Settings.
4. Select the MCI (M) option and click OK.

For Windows Media Player:
Note: Carry out the following procedure without ejecting the audio CD.
1. Select the Tools tab and click Options.
2. Select the Devices tab and select Audio CD (*:) (* refers to the CD-ROM drive). Then click Properties.
3. In Audio CD Properties, select the Analog option for Playback and click OK.
4. Eject the audio CD to close Windows Media Player.

Note:
For the settings to take effect, close Windows Media Player and restart the computer. Alternatively, eject the audio CD from the CD-ROM drive and insert into the drive again.
