The VAIO computers that support dual display are the models equipped with:
- Graphic Chip ATI MOBILITY RADEON-M: PCG-C1MT and PCG-C1ML
- Graphic Chip ATI MOBILITY RADEON-D: PCG-GR18C

The following are the models that do not support dual display:
- Models equipped with Chipset Intel 815EM: PCG-R505AFT, PCG-R505AGT, PCG-R505AFL, PCG-R505AGL, PCG-R505AFH, PCG-R505AFC, PCG-FX900, PCG-FX900H, PCG-990, PCG-990L, PGC-FX950, PCG-FX950L and PCG-FX950H (as of February 2002)

Note: Support of dual display is dependant on the operating system and graphic accelerators, and the specifications of graphic drivers.

Note: The VAIO computers pre-installed with Windows 2000 have graphic accelerators and graphic drivers supporting the dual display function. However, the standard functions of their Operating System do not correspond to it. Therefore, these models do not support dual display.
