How do I use the computer name to open a computer shared in a network?

There are several ways to open a computer shared in a network. Please refer to the following procedures:

--Procedure 1--
1) Double-click the [Network Neighborhood] icon on the desktop.
For Windows Me, open [My Network Places] only, or open [Entire Network] after that.
For Windows 2000, double-click [Computer Near Me] from [My Network Places].

2) Double-click the domain or the workgroup of the computer which you want to open.

3) When the preferred computer is displayed on the window, double-click to open it.
In some cases, the computer which you want to open is not displayed. (This happens due to the server taking some time to recognize the computer right after its participation in the network.)
If the computer is not displayed, try out Procedure 2 or Procedure 3 below.

--Procedure 2--
1) Click [Start] -> [Run].

2) Enter [\\(Computer name)] in the [Open] text box and click [OK].

3) Now the computer you want to display appears.

--Procedure 3--
- In the case of Windows 9*
1) Click [Start] -> [Find] -> [Computer].

2) Enter [(Computer name)] in the [Named] text box and click [OK].

3) Now the computer you want to display appears.

- In the case of Windows 2000 and Windows Me
1) Double-click the [My Computer] icon on the desktop.

2) Click the [Search] button displayed in the tool bar.

3) Click [Computers] displayed in the search window.
