When I try to save my password at the time of the dial-up connection, I cannot turn on the checkbox as the "Save password" checkbox is grayed out.

When you press the "Cancel" button on the window of "Enter Password" at the startup of Windows, you cannot save the password.

When you cancel the dialog box of "Enter Password" at the startup of Windows, for example, the checkbox of "Enter Password" is grayed out and you cannot save you password.

To save the password, type your user name and password in the dialog box of "Enter Password"
