"BootError2" appears at startup and the operating system is not started

After you turn on your PC, you receive the error, "BootError2" before Windows starts up, and Windows is not started. The computer stops at the black screen.

The boot sector of the hard disk drive may be changed. Power on the PC using the System Recovery CD-ROM and reinitialize the hard drive master boot record.

Please refer to the below procedure:

1) Start the computer from the System Recovery CD-ROM.
2) Press [F8] key after seeing the SONY logo.
3) In the [Microsoft Windows Startup Menu], select the opton [Safe mode command prompt only] and press enter.
4) When [A:\>] appears, execute the following command:
FDISK /MBR
Press the Enter key.
(The master boot record of the hard disk drive is re-initialized.)
5) Remove the System Recovery CD-ROM, and press [Ctrl + Alt + Delete] at the same time to reboot the PC.
6) When the computer is restarted, make sure that Windows is started normally.

After you perform the above, if Windows is not started and you have the system disk (startup disk), try the next step:
1) Insert the system disk (startup disk) into the floppy disk drive.
2) Turn on your PC.
3) Boot the computer from the system disk (startup disk). When "A:\>" appears, execute the following command:
SYS C:
Press the Enter key.
4) Remove the system disk (startup disk), and then press [Ctrl + Alt + Delete] at the same time to reboot the PC.
5) When the system is restarted, verify that Windows starts correctly.
