Unable to complete the software update using the television menu.
There are various factors such as connection and server errors that may prevent the television to complete the software update.
Follow the troubleshooting steps below.
- Unplug the power cord and plug it back to an outlet or perform RESET by referring to the following articles:
- Confirm the network status of your television by following the steps below:
- For Android TV

- Press the HOME button on the remote.
- Select HELP.
- Select Internet connectivity symptoms.
- For 2014 models

- Press the HOME button on the remote.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Network.
- Select Network Setup.
- Select View Network settings and status.
- Select Check Connection.
- Select Yes.
NOTE: Be sure that the local and internet access on the television are stable and the Physical Connection or Wireless Device on TV feature is set to OK or Found.

- The BRAVIA TV cannot be connected to the Internet.
- Perform the software update again.
NOTE: If a message such as New software version is not detected, appears, wait for a while, then try to update the software again. - If you are still unable to update, try updating manually by downloading the new software on Sony’s support Web site to a USB storage device.
